This race usually held during the Flint Creek Valley Days has been cancelled, HOWEVER, we may decide to hold the race as a “Pop-up race” depending on the state of COVID-19 in the State as race time approaches. If we decide to have the race, it will be free to all participants. No shirts or awards will be offered. We would still time the event. Stay tuned to this website or our Facebook page for updates.
We cancelled this event not out of fear but out of respect for our local sponsors who have really taken it on the chin this spring. Our costs to put on this race run about $1500 for shirts, insurance, prizes, timing etc. Our wonderful sponsors contribute enough to cover these costs. We can’t imagine asking these businesses to offer financial support this year.
We also cannot predict what the State of Montana or Granite County will be allowing in terms of gatherings by the end of July.
Thank you.
FCTA worked on the Ridgeview trail extension today. Will Shoutis of the Pintler Ranger District lead the group in doing finish work on the new extension loop. FCTA will be planning more dig days soon and will post information here as time approaches.
